Winter Returns For a Big Finish to the Season

Not much has changed as we are about to get back to back storms and lots of cold powder this week.

We could see the snow start as early as Tuesday night but the heaviest snow looks to fall on Wednesday with the first system. We could see a dusting Tuesday night and then 3-6 more inches on Wednesday. The snow showers will keep going Wednesday night with a few more inches possible.

The next system looks to be coming in a little more quickly for Thursday. The heaviest snow should move in by afternoon and last into Thursday night. What is going to make this storm good is the cold air with it which will raise the snow ratios. We could see 8-16 inches through Thursday night.

As the cold core of the low moves across the area Friday we should see the coldest temperatures of the week and continued snow showers. We could see several more inches before the snow tapers off Friday night.

All together for the week week as we tally it Saturday morning we could see 12-18 inches at the base and 2+ feet at the summit. This snow will be colder and lighter each day and Friday looks like it could be the best day of the week. This will make a great last dump of the season. BA
