Tuesday Night Update........

Models Thursday afternoon and evening not changing all that much. Snow levels are just above lake level this evening so no snow is not accumulating much yet in the Village. Another wave will of moisture will come in behind the storm Friday morning and lower snow levels as well as increase snowfall. Expecting 3-6 inches in the Village by Friday afternoon, with 6-9 inches above 7000 ft.

Next storm moves in Friday night into Saturday. Models still can't seem to get a handle on the exact track with this storm. The strongest part of the storm is going to go South of us but will the storm split and we get only a few more inches or will we double down on this first storm. NAM model has us doubling down and so did the last two runs of the GFS model before the midnight run. This would be a colder storm so 4-8 inches in the Village, with 6-10 inches above 7000 ft.  Storm totals by Saturday would be 7-14 inches in the Village, with 12-18+ inches above 7000 ft.  Will have to see if the models can come to an agreement in the morning.

Models are starting to agree that the cut off low for Wednesday will come into CA and bring us snow instead of heading South down the coast. This is in response to the idea that the ridge will build over Utah instead of closer to CA. This would also allow subsequent storms to start rolling in by the weekend. Stay tuned.........BA
