Moisture & instability left behind by the storm that came onshore over the weekend will keep the weather stormy. With the heating of the sun in the afternoons we should see thunderstorms, much the same as the past couple of weeks. The temps will be in the mid 60's today & tomorow, & then around 60 the rest of the week.
Next week there is the possibility that another storm dives down the West coast bringing more rain. Temps should stay cool & thunderstorms should continue.
One of the problems is that the high pressure that is normally over the West coast in the summer is out over the Pacific around 150w. That is the spot that in the winter is perfect for us to get lots of storms. I don't see any real stretches of warm weather returning until at least the last week of the month. I'll keep you posted....BA

Are you sure about the temperatures? I checked the prediction and it said that there would be highs in the 50s.
haha, being picky aren't you? I wrote that on Monday when it didn't look like the storm coming in for the weekend was going to be this cold, & I said "around" 60. But you're right, it may be a little colder than that this weekend. My specialty is weather patterns & long range storms, not day to day details, especially in summer. Only reason I'm in the house looking at weather is that it's too cold to go out & do all the summer things I want to do. Pray for heat.
Why are you still making snow reports in June? Is it for other weather junkies like me?
Why stay cooped up in Tahoe this whole time? The mountains may be cold but the valley is having just the weather I'm sure you're looking for. :)
I was actually in the valley last weekend. It was a nice change from this cold air.
I am still making snow reports in June when it snows in June. The stormy weather is interesting too as we are transitioning out of La Nina finally, this could be a sign of what's to come this winter.
