Colder air on the way this weekend to bring back the good snowmaking conditions, then maybe we won't need the guns much longer.
The forecast models continue to be in good agreement and consistent on the storms finally arriving next week. The storms will start in the Pacific NW this weekend and then work down the coast through next week.
We should see light snowfall begin as early as Tuesday night and then continue into Wednesday before some stronger storms arrive Thursday and into the weekend. It's still too early to talk snowfall amounts as we are watching where the exact storm track will setup.
We will see colder air move in on Sunday with a cold front and we could even see some light snow. Then it will be quiet and cold Monday and Tuesday before the snow arrives mid-week.
Depending on the storm track we could see moderate or significant amounts of snow.
The pattern looks to continue for at least a week so we could start to recover and build a nice base. Stay tuned as we continue to fine tune the details and potential snowfall for next week....BA
