Northstar closed with a fresh powder day in April and now it looks like we will open with one on Friday. Things are still on track for cold storm to push through the area with the snow beginning to to fall during the day on Friday. This isn't a big storm but it should be enough to bring several inches.
Looking at the latest weather models they show anywhere from .25 - .75 inches of liquid by the time the precipitation ends Friday night. That should equate to 3-6 inches at the base and 6-9 inches up top by Saturday morning.
It will stay cold through the weekend with lows in the teens and highs only in the 20's on the mountain. That will allow for lots of snowmaking to expand terrain. We will warm slightly on Monday and Tuesday ahead of a much bigger storm for Thanksgiving.
Stay tuned....BA
