Storm Departs Leaving Behind Amazing Closing Weekend Conditions

Northstar picked up another 12 inches Thursday and Thursday night bringing the storm total to 15 inches up top.  The heavy snow continued this morning before tapering off this afternoon.  We may have gotten close to 2 feet up top and we'll see with the final tally in the morning.

It's closing weekend and we will have amazing conditions.  This makes two seasons in a row closing on fresh snowfall.  The sun will return for the weekend and temperatures will be cool.  Highs will be in the 30's on the mountains Saturday and then the 40's on Sunday, but we will have the warm April sun.

Another post tomorrow with the storm totals and the season total as we prepare to wrap up and look forward to another great season for 2012-13.  BA

Heavier Snow Moves In Tonight Through Friday...

3 inches as of this morning and then it snowed all day today piling up 6 more inches for a storm total of 9 so far.  We have some heavier snow moving in this evening which will last through the day on Friday. 

We should se another 6-12 inches at the base through Friday and 8-16 inches at the summit.  Then we could see another inch or two Friday night with lingering snow showers.  We should end up in the 18-24 inch range up top for a storm total by Saturday morning.

Then a beautiful weekend with amazing conditions again this year for the closing week.  If you are sticking around after we close the weather will remain active to our North and a storm my dip down and bring more snow next Thursday-Friday.  BA
